COVID-19 Updates

June 7 - Re-Opening

To our patients,

The COVID-19 pandemic brought many health questions and an important focus on hygiene. For your safety, the California Dental Association recommended the closure of dentist offices around the state for anything except a life-threatening emergency. We complied, but we missed you and your family. We are proud to announce that with new precautions and additional guidelines from public health experts – WE ARE RE-OPEN!

We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to our office. There will be some new precautions in place because we want to ensure you remain healthy when leaving. Our office has always had a rigorous sterilization process. Here are a list of enhancements that you will experience when coming to Spring Hills Family Dentistry:

  • Screening questions – A basic health questionnaire will be provided when you arrive.
  • Temperature check – We will use a touchless thermometer to check your temperature. No fever? No problem.
  • Hand sanitizer – A hand sanitizer dispenser is available in our lobby.
  • Reduced scheduling – To limit the number of people in our office at any one time, we have made reductions to our appointment availability. Call us today at 909-825-3000 to reserve the date and time you want!
  • Car waiting – You will be asked to wait in your car until one of our staff comes to get you at the time of your appointment.
  • Empty lobby – We have removed the coffee and juice bar along with all of the magazines and children’s toys from our lobbies.
  • Payments and copays – Online payments will be available shortly.
  • Air filters – Medical grade HEPA filters are used in the HVAC system throughout our offices.
  • Masks – N95 or Level 3 surgical masks are used by all Spring Hills Family Dentistry personnel for your safety.

If you have any questions about these protocols or would like to know more about how we protect your health, please give us a call.

March 16 - Emergency Patients Only

The health and safety of both our staff and patients is of our utmost importance. Therefore, we are following the guidelines of the California Dental Association (CDA) and for the next 2 weeks will be seeing only emergency patients. Our phones will be open and we always welcome your calls. We will send updates with eventual changes once they become available. Thank you for your understanding.

"As the facts and situation around COVID-19 (coronavirus) continue to evolve, and in step with Gov. Newsom's recent Declaration of a State of Emergency, including the call for all seniors over the age of 65 and residents with chronic conditions to self-isolate at home, the California Dental Association is requesting the cooperation of all California dentists and issuing the following guidance:

The California Dental Association strongly recommends that dentists practicing in California voluntarily suspend nonessential or non-urgent dental care for the next 14 days. As always, it is expected that dentists will continue to be available as needed for emergency care and services.

CDA does not make this request lightly, and it is being done out of an abundance of caution during this historic public health emergency. As health care professionals, we all have a role to play in "flattening the curve" in order to follow sound, scientific public health advice to help limit infections and slow the spread of the virus."

A message from  our owner and lead dentist on the coronavirus (COVID-19)

To our patients,

There is no higher priority than safety and well being for our patients and employees. We are following the recommendations of OSHA and the Centers of Disease Control.

As dental office we always have been required and always followed the guidelines of cleaning and disinfecting all clinical areas, surfaces, and equipment after each and every patient to avoid cross contamination. We use CDC, FDA and OSHA approved hospital grade disinfectant as well as hand sanitizer containing 70% alcohol and antibacterial hand soap.

We have enhanced our cleaning procedures to include also non-clinical surfaces you may come in contact with.

We are monitoring the situation closely and will change our procedures if necessary according to CDC guidelines.
